Photo tours

These tours are best suited to experienced photographers as no guidance or tuition is provided.

Justin will take you/your group to some of most photogenic parts of Cornwall at the optimum time of day taking into account the weather, tides, time of year etc. These tours are especially convenient for photographers who wish to turn up at a location and simply concentrate on scouting for a suitable viewpoint location/composition and then making their image. As such, they are particularly suited to experienced photographers who are on holiday and have limited time in Cornwall, as the 'pre-planning leg-work' for each site has already been done for you.

Tours are offered for the following geographical regions of Cornwall:

LIZARD PENINSULA

Visiting some of the best known locations such as Cadgwith; Lizard Point; Kynance Cove; Mullion Cove; along with other lesser known but equally photogenic sites. (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image)

Living in West Cornwall, Justin has very good knowledge of the region and its photographic potential at all times of the year.

The typical duration of a tour will be approximately 16 hours during the summer months, and 9 hours during the winter months: though timings and day length can be tailored to suit requirements, if time is limited. During a typical day, we would begin with a sunrise shoot and then aim to visit a minimum of three to four other locations, ending the day with a sunset shoot. Justin will select the optimum locations to visit, taking into account the weather, tides, seasonal variation and any preferences you/your group may have to ensure you are capturing each location at it’s very best.

Most sites are within approximately 30 minutes walk from the parking location and will involve some uphill/downhill walking. However, tours can be tailored to suit you/your group's mobility requirements. I'm happy to discuss any mobility constraints/site access options with you/your group prior to booking, if that would be helpful.

Obviously the weather is something that we cannot guarantee, so if the forecast is looking unfavourable for you/your group's selected day, and you wish to postpone to an alternative day: I am happy to reschedule to a mutually agreeable date.

If you/your group are travelling from some distance and will need to book overnight accommodation, there are various options to suit all budgets. The Premier Inn on the outskirts of Camborne is located just off the main A30 road and close to Justin's home. Justin will be able to pick-up/drop-off at this location, so you will not need to use your car on the day. If you find accommodation further afield, either directions will be provided to meet at Justin's home (where you will be able to leave your car safely for the day); or, if your accommodation is en route, pick-up/drop-off may be possible. Please feel free to discuss these options prior to booking if you wish.
